Our ecosystem combines smart devices — including the CatPad heated wellness pad and the CatPen diagnostic camera — with an AI-powered mobile application for iOS and Android. When you create a CatPod account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and account credentials. If you sign in through a third-party platform, we receive the basic profile information necessary to create your account.
You provide information about your cat, including their name, breed, age, sex, and neutered status. This profile forms the foundation of the personalized health monitoring we provide.
Depending on which CatPod devices you use, we may collect weight measurements, surface temperature readings, heart rate data, respiration patterns, and activity information. This data is gathered automatically when your cat interacts with a connected CatPod device and is transmitted to the app for analysis.
When you interact with our AI-powered health assistant, we collect the messages you send and the responses generated. This conversation history helps us provide context-aware guidance and improve the quality of our health insights over time.
If you use CatPen, our diagnostic camera, we collect photographs of your cat's eyes, ears, teeth, skin, and coat. These images are used for AI-powered visual health assessments and are stored as part of your cat's health record.
We automatically collect information about how you use the app, including which features you access, how often you open the app, and general interaction patterns. This helps us understand what's working well and where we can improve.
If you subscribe to CatPod Premium, your payment is processed by third-party payment processors. We receive a transaction reference and subscription status, but we do not store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or other financial account information.
We collect information in three ways:
Directly from you. When you create an account, set up a pet profile, send messages to the AI assistant, or contact our support team, you provide information directly.
Automatically from your devices. When your cat uses a CatPad or CatPen, sensor data is collected automatically and transmitted to the CatPod app via your phone, then synced to our cloud servers.
Automatically from your app usage. When you use the CatPod app, we collect usage analytics, device identifiers, and session information to maintain and improve the service.

We use artificial intelligence to analyze your pet's health data and generate wellness insights. This includes processing weight trends, vital sign patterns, visual assessments from photos, and your conversations with the health assistant.Our AI systems are designed to support your understanding of your cat's health — they provide informational guidance, not veterinary diagnoses. Any health concerns flagged by our AI should be discussed with a qualified veterinarian.We work with third-party AI service providers to power certain features. When your data is processed by these providers, we take steps to minimize the personal information included. Pet health data sent for AI processing is de-identified where possible — it includes your cat's health information but not your personal identity details such as your name, phone number, or address.

We follow a "verify and confirm" principle — you always review exactly what data will be shared before it is sent. We retain your personal information and pet health data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to fulfill any outstanding obligations.
Active accounts. Your data is retained and accessible throughout the life of your account. Sensor data is retained to enable long-term health trend analysis — detecting gradual changes over months or years is central to our service.
Account deletion. When you request account deletion, we delete all personal information within 15 days. Pet health data is de-identified and removed. Anonymized, aggregated health patterns may be retained for general breed health research if you previously consented to research use.
Inactive accounts. If your account remains inactive for an extended period, we will notify you before taking any action regarding your data.
Pet memorial data. If your cat passes away, any memorial information you choose to keep is retained at your discretion and can be deleted at any time.We may retain certain information beyond these periods where required by law or to resolve disputes.
CatPod is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 14 without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
